‘OTHER REGIMENTS’ classification deleted.
This classification, which was used to include those who had changed from one regiment or service to another, has been deleted. All persons are now classified under their final regiments/services, with the previous one(s) added beneath. For example. someone who transferred from the Royal Engineers to the Royal Flying Corps will be found under RFC, with the note ‘formerly RE’.

The website now has records of 800 places, 1,457 memorials and 41,691 persons.

N.B. CHANGES TO THE RECORD FORM
An improved version of the form to be used when recording a memorial has been added to the ‘How to contribute’ page. It can be downloaded as a Word document or as a PDF.
UP-GRADING OF U.K. WAR MEMORIALS REGISTER
This register (https://www.iwm.org.uk/memorials) now allows searching for the names of individuals, and shows photographs of many of the memorials.
