It is a growing inventory of memorials in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland to all conflicts throughout the world, including those relating to service with the United Nations. Many of these memorials bear the names of those involved, including, in some cases, those who served and survived. A database of persons allows a search for a name on any memorial recorded so far (see ‘ How do I use this website’)

It includes photographs of each memorial, and details of the sites. With each memorial there is a PDF file with a transcription of the text on the memorial and, in some cases, further information about those whose names appear on them. Directions for visiting the memorial are also provided.
